The exact interior dimensions vary depending on the model. An overview of length, width, and height, as well as additional information, can usually be found on the product detail pages of the respective online shops.
A roof box must not extend beyond the rear of the vehicle. An extension of up to 20 cm at the front is allowed, provided that the field of vision and vehicle lighting are not impaired. The relevant regulation here is § 22 of the German Road Traffic Regulations (StVO). Please also check the recommendations of the vehicle manufacturer.
TopBoxes basically fit on most vehicles with a suitable roof rack (base carrier). The width and profile of the carrier system are decisive. Our product pages and customer service assist with selecting the appropriate model.
All TopBox models are splash-proof and suitable for normal road use in the rain. For longer trips in heavy rain, we recommend using a roof box bag inside to provide extra protection for delicate luggage.
